Just got an email telling me tickets are going on sale for 'This Is It' The Movie on Monday 28th September... and that its only showing in theatres for TWO WEEKS! As the good Doctor would say - 'WHAT?!?!' So this is going to be another 'Muse' situation, I imagine - logging onto the website to get tickets for their 'Resistance' tour in plenty of time the morning they go on sale... and not being able to get even one ticket before they were all sold (unless I want to travel and stay overnight somewhere which I don't).... Why the hell is it only showing for two weeks? I can't see how they can ever satsify demand (when you consider how many tickets they sold for the live concert before... well.
I'm sure this all is a way of generating sales but all I can see is that there are bound to be thousands and thousands of dissapointed fans who won't be able to get tickets.... and going on past history, I am almost certain to be one of them, even if I log into the site at 5am before tickets go on sale...and I daresay there will be pre-sales opporunities which although I had a code for prior to the live concert tickets going on sale, I still missed out on becuase the damn sites were crashing under the demand....
This is so annoying. So I guess I'll only get to see it on the DVD (eventually)..... As if his dying wasn't bad enough, now there's no guarantee many of us will even get to see the recorded rehearsals (which from the trailer look great). Damn, damn, damn.
